Again she steps out
Lord
Fresh banana..!

She screeches
She beckons
Blinking, winking

Acrobatics…
Monkey, if tales beset fate
Who cares?

They hop from tree to tree
They wink or blink, to serve
They twist or couch – to catch.
In the twilight, they bluff
In the forest, they swarm.

Listen to me, Earth
Heaven, hearken.

Three years after Union Jack was lowered
The egg hatched
Egg from an African hen
- I came out -
Three years after the Union Jack was lowered
About three scores now
(Freedom was mentioned.)

Not one’s been free

We dash to the beach
For breeze
Alas! Still is Atlantic air!

An apple for two!

By heart’s host of daffodils;

Ripe apple’s for two.

Midst heart’s host of daffodils,

Cock-a-doodle-doo! Cocks crow. Lions roar

Tigers pant. Girls giggle. Snakes hiss.

Owls cry. Melancholic cry.

Men clap, laugh, chat, shout, wail.

Horses neigh. Women chat; life goes on.

It should

Ah! Soup simmers. Rivers flow, gently so

Streams too. Thunder storms.

Birds chirp. Crickets chirp.

Birds sing soulful songs

Let no mutt muffle nature.

Let her sing.

Later in the night
She fell fast asleep
How would she feel?

Prophecies are here fulfilled…

I heard some nocturnal bird howl
Not for me the melancholic cry!
Merrily, merrily sang I along.

Partner, later in the night
You fell fast asleep.

What did you feel?

A boy a monkey took
To nearby tree it took him

Monkey slept; boy fell -
Into the river he fell

Monkey woke, saw boy in river
Drowning, crocodile coming
- It opened its mouth -
Monkey jumped,
Down to the river it jumped,
Saved boy from crocodile.
